Cost and Payment
How much does a website cost?
Three monthly plans, all with $0 down and no setup fee: Starter $29/mo, Business $49/mo, Pro $99/mo. Every plan includes design, copywriting, hosting, security and SSL, updates, and support. Prefer to pay once a year? Prepay and get 2 months free: Starter $290/yr, Business $490/yr, Pro $990/yr. Not sure which plan fits? Email us and we'll tell you honestly.
How does payment work?
You get a free homepage preview first. If you like it, you pick a plan. There's nothing to pay upfront: $0 down, no setup fee. You pay monthly, or prepay the year and get 2 months free. Plans have a 12-month minimum, then continue month-to-month.
Is there a discount for paying yearly?
Yes. Pay for the full year upfront and get 2 months free: you pay for 10 months and get 12. That's Starter $290/yr, Business $490/yr, Pro $990/yr. Monthly billing is always available too.
Are there any other costs?
Hosting, security, SSL, updates, and support are all included in your plan. The only other cost is your domain name, which is registered in your name, so you pay the registrar directly (usually about $10 to $20 a year). If you sell online on the Pro plan, the payment processor charges its standard card fees.
What happens after the first 12 months?
Your plan simply continues month-to-month at the same price, and you can cancel anytime after the first 12 months. If you prepaid yearly, you can prepay again or switch to monthly. Either way, your domain and your content stay yours.
What if I don't like the preview?
You walk away and owe nothing. There's no deposit to lose because there's no deposit.
Timing
How long does it take?
Usually 1 to 4 weeks, depending on the plan. Starter sites are typically live in 7 to 10 business days, Business in 2 to 3 weeks, and Pro in 3 to 4 weeks. The clock starts after our kickoff call, once we have your information and photos.
How much of my time will this take?
About 10 minutes a week: answering a few questions and approving pages. That's it.
Ownership and Hosting
Do I own my website?
You own your domain name and all of your content: your words, photos, and logo. Your domain is registered in your name, and your content is yours to keep. We host the site and keep it running as part of your plan, so there's nothing technical for you to manage. If you ever leave, your domain and your content go with you.
Who hosts my website?
We do. Hosting, security, SSL (the padlock in the browser), and backups are included in every plan, so there's no separate hosting bill and nothing to keep up with. If something needs attention, we take care of it.
Do you use AI?
Yes, and we're upfront about it. We use AI tools heavily, for drafting copy, layouts, and images, and to answer calls and messages quickly. Every page is reviewed by our team before launch, and by you before it goes live. Calls and messages may be answered by our AI assistant, who can answer questions and set up a call with our design team.
Google and SEO
Can you help me show up on Google?
Yes. Every plan includes Google Business Profile and Google Search setup, and the Pro plan adds a monthly Google check-up. No one can honestly guarantee a #1 ranking, and we won't promise one.
What is a Google Business Profile?
It's the free listing that shows your business on Google Maps and in local search results, with your hours, phone number, and photos. We set it up or claim it for you and make sure it matches your website.
Updates and Support
Do I need to know anything about computers?
No. If you can read an email, you're all set.
Can you update my site later?
Yes. Updates are part of every plan. Starter covers small updates like new hours, photos, or text. Business includes up to 1 hour of edits every month. Pro adds priority same-day edits. Just email us.
What happens after my site goes live?
We keep it running: hosting, security, updates, and support are part of your plan. Need a change? Email us, and we take care of it.
